Jack's sleeping porch is on the left. Charmian who suffered from insomia, slept in separate quarters from Jack. The right side of the porch was called the sun porch, where Charmian had her desk and couch, she could look across into the windows of Jack's sleeping porch. (screened during the summer). The cottage had four guest rooms and Jack was at his happiest when they were all filled.
