Sherry Building
Built in 1884 by Chinese stonemasons for the Kohler and Frohling
winery, this sherry-making building was converted into a barn for
Jack London's prized Shire horses.

"....Jack founded his purebred English Shire stable by the purchase of nothing less than Neuadd Hillside, grand champion of California, and once prize-winner in England. He weighed a ton, and was wondrously shaped withal. Cockerington Princess, champion of her own sex, also came to gladden our eyes, while the converting into stables of theretofore unused stone winery buildings went apace....."
